Our Story

We are busy

Making a difference

Our mission is to provide regular access to nutritious meals, nutrition education and skills, for people suffering from food poverty. These meals are made from surplus food that would otherwise be thrown away.

Where we are…..

Based in four boroughs in London - UK

Operating in different venues across Barnet, Camden, Haringey & Islington.

We cook on average 4000 meals a month for those who need them, delivering around 1000 meals per week by car, bike and foot.

This model is more ambitious than ever before for us but has been designed to ensure the safety of everyone involved.

We’re cooking up some ambitious goals

FEAST With Us was cooked up when our founder, dietitian Hannah Style, realised she could no longer ignore increasing levels of food poverty, malnutrition and food waste in her local area.

When she launched FEAST With Us, Hannah wanted to go beyond simply providing vulnerable people with access to food: she also wanted to create a supportive space where people suffering from food poverty could enjoy both a hearty meal and the opportunity to learn how to cook with others.

Since then, FEAST has gone from strength to strength – and we can’t wait to carry on growing.

We’ve hit on a recipe for success…..

Meals are cooked and eaten by volunteers and vulnerable individuals as a community, using surplus food donated by local food retailers and distributors.

When cooking at facilities which do not have a dining area FEAST still provides support by partitioning the food into containers and delivering it to people.

We have created a platform where individuals can be nourished not just by food but also through a safe and collaborative environment which facilitates learning and sharing.

Demand has never been higher

Since the outbreak of COVID-19, we have been declared an essential service and since March 2020, demand for our services has increased by 300%.

During the height of the pandemic, we were serving 2000 meals per week to vulnerable individuals across five boroughs, intercepting over 3000 kg of surplus food from going to landfills.

With the current cost of living crisis, the demand is still higher and the need for support is currently growing.
